I was awakened this morning by the pitter patter of puppy nails clicking across our bedroom floor. Why are they up so early I wondered? Then I heard it, a loud clap of thunder. From there, they followed me all around the house, circling in the kitchen until my coffee was done. They’re normally already curled back up fast asleep 😴 but what I realized is that they wanted to be piled up in my lap where they felt safe from the storm.
Aren’t we the exact same way? Every time we hear a clap of thunder in our lives, we draw up close to our heavenly Father because we know He will shelter us during the storms ❤
Isaiah 12:2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 121 I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
