The Lord is MY shepherd; (it’s personal) I shall not want. (He will meet ALL our needs)

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. (God is our shepherd. We need to listen for His leading and follow Him! He ALWAYS has our best interests at heart! He is always leading, guiding, directing, restoring…and even insists that we rest when we need it.) ***Our shepherd knows the green pastures & still waters that will restore us***

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: (Fear not!) for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. (He gives us comfort, peace & rest) (Only the Lord can walk with us and carry us through the shadow of death to our eternal destination) *** When we know the Lord, we should not fear death***

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: (protection) thou anointest my head with oil; (healing) my cup runneth over. (Blessings & joy)
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord FOREVER.
