But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came.
25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.
27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
29Â Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
31Â But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. John 20:24-31

And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon Him to hear the word of God, He stood by the lake of Gennesaret, And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.
And He entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that He would thrust out a little from the land. And he sat down, and taught the people out of the ship.
Now when He had left speaking, He said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.
And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them.
And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink. When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, O Lord.
For he was astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken: And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men. And when they had brought their ships to land, they forsook all, and followed Him. – Luke 5:1-11
Trust and Obey, for there’s no other way, to be happy in Jesus, than to trust and obey. Then in fellowship sweet, we will sit at His feet…

7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.Â
10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.
12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and death.

Unmerited favor, Undeserved, Unworthy….yet He chose to love me.
When I think about the Lord and ALL HE has done for me, I realize that I’ll never truly understand it.
What I want you to know is that HE loves you and gave His life so that you can live forever in heaven one day.
For God SO LOVED the world that HE GAVE His only begotten son that WHOSOEVER beliveth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God sent not His son into the world to condemn the world,, but that the world through Him might be saved.
John 3:16-17
Has anyone ever shared Jesus with you? Has anyone ever told you you’re special to Him? If not, I’m telling you now. If so, and you have forgotten or questioned it, I am reminding you now.
It doesn’t matter what you’ve done, where you’ve been or where you are now…He is still right where you are just waiting for you to come to Him. He is only one prayer away.
Never give up, never give in, never get over what God has done for you!
With the Lord, there is always hope!
Hope for today, hope for tomorrow and hope for whatever wilderness you’re walking through, whatever mountain you are climbing and whatever baggage you are dragging along.
Lay it down at the feet of Jesus and leave it there. When you’re so tired you can’t take another step, He will carry you!
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name. And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard. – Acts 4:12-13,17-20
For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but He that believeth not is condemned already, because He hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. – John 3:16-18
How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; – Hebrews 2:3
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. – Isaiah 40:28-31
The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1
How will we carry on and keep on keeping on for Jesus? The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and He shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them. –Deuteronomy 33:27
Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips. – Psalm 141:3
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. – Psalm 19:14
Lord, please remind me that sometimes there is great value in just being quiet! When I don’t have anything good to say, please help me to say nothing at all!
Sometimes those that are hurting often need compassion more than advice. Remind me to be slow, gentle & patient even when offering wise counsel.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. – 1 Peter 5:8-11
Be sure to place guardrails in your life!Boundaries!
One of the lessons that stands out in my mind that I’ve heard over the years is one by Andy Stanley called “Guardrails”. It’s about placing guardrails or boundaries in your life and determining that you will never cross them no matter what circumstances come in your life. He also talks about how much easier it is to stand your ground and never make those bad decisions if you’ve already decided ahead of time that you’ll never go there. Such a powerful lesson that could save us so much pain, heartache 💔 and so many wounds and scars if we would just heed to this advice especially early in life!
Thank you Lord that you are who you are, no matter who I am or who I’m not!
Thank you Lord that you are the same yesterday, today and forevermore!!!
So thankful for your mercy!!!
O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. – Psalm 118:1,29
So thankful for your word!!!
For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven. – Psalm 119:89
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. – Psalm 119:105
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10
Be still…cease striving!!! Hard to do isn’t it when we’re waiting, searching, trying to “fix it”??? God doesn’t need me to fix it! In fact, He doesn’t need my help at all! He wants me to trust, obey, pray, listen, study….just depend fully on Him. When we feel like we can’t take another step, He will carry us!
I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart. – Psalm 40:1-3,8
Be still…take time every day to thank God, worship God, exalt God & praise God…not only for all He has done for you, but also for who He is, all He has already done and all He is going to do!!! He is true & faithful!!!
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. Psalm 23:1-6
This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. – Lamentations 3:21-24
God’s Mercy Never Fails!!!
When our will is weak, when our reason is confused, when we are burdened with a load of guilt, we must remember that God loves us and cares for us continually and His mercies never fail!
When family & friends desert us, when co-workers don’t understand us, when we are tired of trying to “do good”, God’s mercies never fail!
When we can’t see the way or seem to hear God’s voice, when we lack courage to go on, God’s mercies never fail! When our shortcomings beset us and awareness of our sins overcome us, God’s mercies never fail!!!
O give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good: for His mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks unto the God of gods: for His mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for His mercy endureth for ever. To Him who alone doeth great wonders: for His mercy endureth for ever. To Him that by wisdom made the heavens: for His mercy endureth for ever. To Him that stretched out the earth above the waters: for His mercy endureth for ever. To Him that made great lights: for His mercy endureth for ever: The sun to rule by day: for His mercy endureth for ever: The moon and stars to rule by night: for His mercy endureth for ever. To Him that smote Egypt in their firstborn: for His mercy endureth for ever: And brought out Israel from among them: for His mercy endureth for ever: With a strong hand, and with a stretched out arm: for His mercy endureth for ever. To Him which divided the Red sea into parts: for His mercy endureth for ever: And made Israel to pass through the midst of it: for His mercy endureth for ever: But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red sea: for His mercy endureth for ever. To Him which led His people through the wilderness: for His mercy endureth for ever. To Him which smote great kings: for His mercy endureth for ever: And slew famous kings: for His mercy endureth for ever: Sihon king of the Amorites: for His mercy endureth for ever: And Og the king of Bashan: for His mercy endureth for ever: And gave their land for an heritage: for His mercy endureth for ever: Even an heritage unto Israel His servant: for His mercy endureth for ever.Who remembered us in our low estate: for His mercy endureth for ever: And hath redeemed us from our enemies: for His mercy endureth for ever. Who giveth food to all flesh: for His mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks unto the God of heaven: for His mercy endureth for ever. – Psalm 136:1-26
Notes taken during my studies on the morning of 5/12/2022 on Jeremiah 3:22 & Hosea 14:4 thoughts from commentary read in my Tyndall KJV Life Application bible
One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord , and to enquire in his temple. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord. Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord – Psalm 27:4-8
Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace...
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation. Psalm 91:1-16
Turn your eyes from the mountain and put them on Jesus in faith!
Am I broken 💔 over the right things? While I sit around focused on my current circumstances, there are people all around me that need the Lord!
I heard or read a quote recently that said…Anything that brings us closer to God is surely a blessing to us.
Maybe God breaks us so that we’ll become soft & moldable like clay, so that He can form us into something new to be used for His honor & His glory
What our world desperately needs is Jesus! We need to be letting our lights shine brightly for Him and be sharing Him every day with the worldaround us!
Psalm 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Isaiah 64:8 But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
Jeremiah 18:1-4 The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words. Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
